Booster

Before its first use:

Pre-wash 3-4 times on a long cycle (2 hours each) with cold temperature, 30 ⁰C or 40 ⁰C, without softener. A small amount of detergent is needed only in the first pre-wash.

Washing:

Wash within 2-3 days after use:

1. Exclusive breastfeed babies (up to 6 months): poo is soluble in water and does not need to be removed from the nappy before washing.
2. Once the baby starts eating solid food: discard solid poo into the toilet.
3. Place the booster inside an airy basket without a lid until it is washed. If you prefer to use a basket with a lid, we recommend adding 2 drops of tea tree oil onto a tiny piece of cotton to neutralise urine smell.
4. Wash with your normal laundry: cold pre-wash (if soiled) + main wash at 40 ⁰C, 1200 rpm. Do not use softener, bleach, vinegar, stain removers or other laundry additives.

Wash occasionally at 60 ⁰C when:

• Your baby is sick, to ensure that bacteria and viruses are effectively killed.
• The nappies are very very soiled.
• Your baby is using nappies from another household.

Please note that many detergents available in supermarkets contain enzymes. Enzymes help removing protein stains by eating them, but in doing that they may also eat some natural fabric fibers around the stain, such as the organic cotton. To prolong the lifetime of your nappies, we recommend using a non-enzymatic detergent (non bio).

Drying:

Line dry in direct sunlight. Alternatively, tumble dry on a low temperature setting.

Avoid nappy rash creams containing zinc or petroleum. These tend to form an oily barrier on the transfer layer, blocking the absorption of liquid, and may lead to nappy leaks.
