Welcome to the PICO TANGO Journal!

I am so excited to be sharing this platform with you. This Journal has been born to connect with likeminded parents and caretakers who want to know more about the reusable nappy industry. Whether you’re new to the topic or not, I want you to be able to gather more knowledge on them.

I thought long and hard about what to include in this letter and landed on something that is very important to me. I want to start a timely and honest discussion about the nappy industry, what we’ve learnt before we even started dreaming about having our own brand,  during the research we conducted, and continuously as we learn day by day in this crazy and wonderful journey.  I hope people in the world begin understanding the importance of ethical manufacturing. 

This is also an avenue to talk openly and honestly about what matters to us as a brand, share more about us, and to share genuine knowledge and helpful information that I hope you’ll find valuable. 

Growing up, adoration for nature was fostered in me from a very young age. As I grew up I studied environmental engineering with the goal to do as much good for the environment as I could. For years I have worked in challenging water pollution projects, touching the very end of problems that are associated with the production of goods that we consumers bring home every day.

After becoming a mother I found out that the reusable nappy industry was not as ‘eco’ as painted and needed a total dose of truth and transparency to parents. By creating sustainable reusable nappies and baby accessories that are produced ethically and with respect for the environment, I hope to help consumers  make a change through their information and purchasing power, and change the standards of the nappy industry.

So, to the future readers of the PICO TANGO Journal, you are parents of conscience, substance and passion to make a difference too, and I am so excited for you to join us.  Thank you so much!
